Free admission to a very special Christmas market. In the garden of the Franz Xaver Gruber Memorial House and in the festively decorated Marktplatz next door, you will inevitably fall under the spell of "Silent Night". A handicraft market reviving old craft techniques has been set up to provide a fascinating framework to the historical pageant "Auf der Suche nach der Stillen Nacht" (Seeking Silent Night). It offers techniques that were customary here in Hochburg during the period in which the world-famous hymn was composed, for example broom binding, basket weaving, shingle making, carving, forging, glass blowing, clay work and much more. Lovingly hand-crafted products by local artists are on sale in a wonderfully tranquil, sparkling atmosphere. All participants are also dressed up in historical outfits.

There is also lots to discover for younger visitors, such as donkeys and sheep.
